Over 50 invited delegates attended the launch of the Sustainable Food North West Research Collaboration in early February.
We were delighted to welcome Professor Tim Lang of the Centre for Food Policy at City University, and Chair of the UK Food Research Collaboration initiative, to deliver a keynote address outlining the importance of collaborative approaches for the transition to a sustainable food system.
We also presented the findings from our ongoing projects and invited the delegates to discuss and feedback their opinions on a series of important questions to help guide our collaboration.
You can view the following presentations from the day:
- How Sustainable is Food in the North West of England?
- Area-Based and Setting-Based Sustainable Food Strategies/Plans
- Short Food Supply Chains and Countercultural Movements
We have also compiled the delegate feedback.
