Kathleen Mooney

km-picKathleen is a Registered Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition. In her current role as Senior Lecturer in Nutrition and Health at Edge Hill University, Kathleen teaches on the undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Health and is the programme leader of the MSc in Public Health Nutrition and the MSc in Applied Clinical Nutrition.

Prior to commencing work in the higher education setting, Kathleen completed her PhD on B vitamin metabolism at Queen’s University Belfast and worked as a Higher Scientific Officer at the Food Standards Agency Scotland. Kathleen’s research interests include the impact of ageing on nutrition and the role of sustainable food in improving health status.
