Sue Powell is the Professor of Public Health in the Faculty of Health, Psychology and Social Care, Manchester Metropolitan University. Her research interests range from food safety management systems, to behaviour change and community engagement. Sue is currently Co-Chair of the UK Healthy Universities Network and has previously held two national positions funded by the Department of Health: Chief Operating Officer for the Greater Manchester Health Innovation and Education Cluster (2009-2012) and Co-ordinator for the North West Teaching Public Health Network (2006-2008). In both roles, Sue worked in partnership with other universities, health and social care organisations and the voluntary sector. Sue’s original background was in environmental health where was a practitioner in both the public and private sectors.
